While on safari in Kenya, our driver took us out each morning and
evening to photograph the animals while they were the most active. On one trip
we drove next to an elephant munching away on a tree. For safety reasons, we
had to stay in the vehicle, but we were able to move around the interior to
photograph the animals.
I leaned out the window and framed the elephant with the tree in
the background in the screen of my digital camera. Luckily, just as I was about
to press the shutter, the elephant lifted its trunk up to the tree branch to
eat the leaves. Thankfully I snapped at the exact right time to capture the
moment!
